Working with the parents at our school is a key priority for us at GFAPS and we want to hear what you think. We have created a very short survey to find out how we can improve our work in supporting and engaging our students and their families.
Click on the link to answer 8 simple questions: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HKRGBT9
The survey will close on Friday 18th December so we can ensure that we can action any changes as soon as possible.Within this survey there is no box for further comments but we would be really pleased to hear any additional feedback, so please email your thoughts to: firstname.lastname@example.org
All your feedback will help us ensure our students are able to make the most of these very important years of education in partnership with you as parents and us as staff.
GFAPS can now obtain food bank vouchers for children who are on our roll. Please contact Debbie Kirkham (07715669138) or Amy Plowman (07720089464) to make a referral.
'A Successful Learning Community
That Grows Together'
Welcome to our school.
At Gloucester & Forest Alternative Provision School we enable pupils to become successful in any classroom or wider social environment by providing a personalised learning experience that focuses on the development of key skills. When they are with us, our pupils are equipped with the tools to develop resilience, respect and the ability to manage their emotions to ensure that they are ready to learn and thrive.
Our highly skilled staff team provide pupils with a learning environment that recognises all members of our community as equals; - small class groups, high staff ratio, personalised learning plans, a tailored curriculum, a fresh start approach to every lesson and close contact with parents & carers providing daily and weekly reports.
We have places for up to 150 pupils. Our pupils are mixed and aged from 4 to 16. Referrals are made by the Local Authority for pupils who are either awaiting a specialist placement, in need of a school place, or have been excluded from school. Referrals from partnership schools can be made for pupils who are at risk of exclusion.
Our school has three Centres, two are located in Gloucester City - The Raikes Centre and Russet House, and one at Joys Green in The Forest of Dean - Joys Green Centre. Information about these Centres can be found on the pages above.
Our website will provide you with a valuable insight into everyday life within the school, we hope you’ll explore and enjoy. We welcome any enquiries and our team can be contacted on the number below if you require further information or would like any paper copies of the information contained on the site.
